Is Marvel Developing a THUNDERBOLTS Series For Netflix?
Just last week, we posted a new episode of GeekTyrant VS which pit Marvel's Thunderbolts against DC's Suicide Squad. Now it looks like maybe Marvel is developing a Thunderbolts series for Netflix!
The rumor originated from The Hashtag Show, and there has been no confirmation, but there's alway a chance it could be true. It was also recently reported that Marvel is planning to release a new Netflix show every six months. Those shows will revolve around Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders and whatever other shows they want to throw into the mix like maybe Thunderbolts, Punisher, and Elektra.
The Thunderbolts is a team made up of reformed Marvel villains that was organized by Baron Zemo, and over the years it has included characters such as Mr. Hyde, Crossbones, Absorbing Man, Black Widow, Grant Ward, The Punisher, Bullseye, Luke Cage, Hawkeye, Elektra, Ghost Rider, and members of The Inhumans. All of those characters have been or will be introduced into the MCU. There are other characters that could be introduced into the MCU as well, like Red Hulk.
Again, this Thunderbolts series is just a rumor at this point, but it would be so cool if it turned out to be true. It would make complete sense for Marvel to do it one day, so maybe they've just started talking about bringing a version of this villainous team to life.
Would you be excited if Marvel was really developing a Thunderbolts series?
