Is That an Arc Reactor That the Kang Variant Victor Timely Has in His Lab in LOKI Season 2?

It looks like Marvel is still having some fun with its fans when placing props in the background of some of its projects. One of the most exciting was in Iron Man when fans noticed Captain America’s shield on Tony Stark’s work station.

Well, the most recent episode of Loki Season 2 seemed to do something similar, but this time something is spotted on the Kang variant Victor Timely’s lab in the background. That something looks a hell of a lot like an arc reactor, that kind that Tony Stark uses to power his armor.

A fan on Reddit pointed out the prop in Victor Timely’s lab in Wisconsin. It’s around the 37:45 mark in Loki Season 2, Episode 3 and you’ll notice the arc reactor on the left side.

The question is, did Kang invent this arc reactor or did he pull it out from a different timeline? Up until now, we know that Howard Stark had a hand in constructing the arc reactor, and then Tony perfected it and took it to the next level.

I guess there’s a chance that Victor Timely could have built the technology long before Howard. I don’t know, but another fan on Reddit suggests that this could end up tying into another Kang variant with Iron Lad, who used Iron Man's armor. This is definitely an interesting theory.

This is the MCU, so anything is really possible here. Regardless, it’s always fun to find stuff like this in the Marvel projects. The added Easter eggs are one of the things that is still fun about Marvel movies.

I should also say that just because something like this is thrown into the background doesn’t mean it means anything. The art department could’ve just been having a little fun, and there’s a big chance that the appearance of this arc reactor will never be mentioned or explained in the future of the MCU.

What do you think about this?
