Is That Patrick Stewart's Professor X We Hear in the New DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Trailer?

A new trailer was released for Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and the internet is going bonkers over a scene where a voice is heard saying, "We should tell him the truth." A lot of fans are saying that this is Patrick Stewart’s voice and that he is coming back as Professor X.

When I first watched the trailer I didn’t think anything of it, but after seeing all of the reactions on social media, I went back and rewatched it like 20 more times. But I’m still not sure if that’s Stewart’s voice. It could just be an actor who just has a similar voice, but it doesn’t overwhelmingly sound like Stewart to me.

But, there are websites already reporting that it’s a fact that Professor X from the Fox Marvel universe is in the movie and that the film will cross over with the Fox X-Men films. While it would be cool to see Stewart back in the role of Professor X, I’m not sure that’s the case.

Stewart has said in the past that he was retiring from the role after Logan because that movie was so good, it made him not want to reprise the role again. He said:

“I was so moved by it, much more moved than I had been the first time of seeing it… [After the screening,] we were going to be taken up on stage, but not until the credits were over. We had some time to sit there and, as I sat there, I realized there will never be a better, a more perfect, a more sensitive, emotional, and beautiful way of saying au revoir to Charles Xavier than this movie. So, I told [Hugh] that same evening, ‘I’m done too. It’s all over.'”

So, again, I’m not 100% convinced that this is Patrick Stewart, but maybe Marvel actually managed to bring him back. What do you think? Do you think it’s Professor X speaking? If you think it is, cool! I hope you’re right!
