Isla Fisher Joins Will Ferrell and Jamie Foxx in Live Action/CGI Comedy STRAYS
Actress Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers, Now You See Me) has joined the cast of the live action/CGI comedy Strays, alongside previously announced co-stars Will Ferrell (SNL, Elf), Jamie Foxx (Ray, Spider-Man: No Way Home), and Randall Park (Always Be My Maybe, WandaVision), who are already on the voice call sheet. Will Forte (SNL, MacGruber) is the only live-action human in the production, which is intended to skew hard into adult comedy territory.
The film is being directed by Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar filmmaker Josh Greenbaum, with a script from Dan Perrault (American Vandal).
The story follows an abandoned dog who teams up with other strays to get revenge on his former owner. Ferrell is the abandoned dog, while Foxx is one of the pooches who befriends him. Forte is the nasty human owner.
Fisher’s character details are being kept under wraps. Universal has set a June 9, 2023, release date for the feature. Does this sound like a comedy you’ll want to watch? It’s got some pretty good comedic actors involved!
