IT: CHAPTER 2 Will Apparently Have a Scene That Will Have the Most Blood That's Ever Been in a Horror Film

It: Chapter 2 hits theaters later this year, and Jessica Chastain is looking to get horror fans pumped up for it. While appearing on The Tonight Show recently, she teased that the film would feature one of the most blood-drenched scenes that has ever been in a horror movie. She teased:

“Oh, I’m gonna say something and I think I’m gonna be in trouble, but I’m gonna do it. It might be a spoiler! In the movie there’s a scene that someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film.”

Now, while that is awesome to hear, there are other horror movie scenes that have a shit ton of blood in them. The Shining elevator scene is a classic, and then there’s the Evil Dead remake where the entire climax of the film it’s literally raining blood from the sky and everything is completely drenched in blood for maybe 10 to 15 minutes of the film. There was also that super bloody bathroom scene from the first It movie.

Will this scene in It: Chapter 2 be bloodier than that?! I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. She went on to say:

“I’ll tell you, the next day I was like pulling blood out of my eyeball. Like fake blood. Fake blood! It’s scary, man. love the scary stuff, but it’s more fun to be the scary person than the one getting scared.”

Now, let’s compare that to what Jane Levy said about after shooting Evil Dead remake.

“There's so much blood that the blood got stuck in my ear and I had a terrible ear infection when I was there and couldn't hear for three weeks. This is really gross, but, I cleaned my ear three weeks ago -- and I clean my ears every week -- but there's still, and I'm not even kidding, there's still red coming out of my ears. That's not a joke. It's really kind of scary."

In the end, It: Chapter 2 is obviously going to be a blood-soaked film which is super exciting to hear! I can’t wait to see this blood-drenched scene that Chastain is teasing!

Chastain plays Beverly in the film, and she is joined by James McAvoy as Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, Jay Ryan (Beauty and the Beast) as Ben, James Ransone (Generation Kill) as Eddie, with Andy Bean (Here and Now) as Stanley Uris, and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike. The younger versions of these character are played by Jaeden Lieberher, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jack Dylan Grazer.

The sequel is set 27 years after the Losers Club defeated Pennywise The Clown when they were kids. As they've grown up, they've forgotten about what had happened. When bad things start to happen in Derry again and kids begin to go missing, Mike Hanlon, who stayed behind in Derry to keep watch over the town, calls up his old friends and reminds them of the promise they made to come back and stop it if it ever came back.

It: Chapter 2 will be released on September 6th.
