IT: CHAPTER 2 Writer Teases Sequel Will Be Bloodier and Scarier Than the First

Fans are getting super pumped for the second part of the It saga this September, as the first movie was super well-received. Director Andy Muschietti, with the help of writer Gary Dauberman, has been able to take the horror of the book and really bring it to the screen like never before. And fans who were impressed with the first half have a lot to look forward to according to Dauberman.

In a recent interview with THR, he said that Chapter Two is "definitely bloodier than the first and it is just as scary, if not scarier. The two movies feel like a complete whole. This feels like a natural progression and extension of the first."

That’s great news for fans! I know some were reserved, since the original made for TV two-part movie had some real mixed reviews. Universally, Tim Curry was a beloved Pennywise, but the second half of the story was not as well-liked as the first half.

So fans have held their breaths hoping for the best. But it sounds like they will be happy with the movie they are getting.

Are you excited for It: Chapter 2 to hit theaters September 6th?
