It Looks Like AVENGERS: ENDGAME Is Going to Get a Major Oscar Push From Disney

There are early signs that Disney is going to be giving Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame a major Oscar push. It shouldn’t really come as a surprise after how they pushed Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War for Oscars last year.

Fandango’s Erik Davis recently revealed that Endgame was privately screened for members of the Academy. Why else would they have a special screening for the Academy members if Disney didn’t want them to make sure they saw it for consideration when the time comes around?

The question is, is Avengers: Endgame Best Picture material? I personally don’t see why it shouldn’t at least be nominated. After all, Marvel and the Russo Bros. did something that has never been done before. It is truly unprecedented, and it’s also going to be a massive box office success.

The Russo Bros. also have to be nominated for Best Director, and even though I don’t think the film would win Best Picture if it was nominated, the directors should win the Best Director award for what they managed to accomplish! They deserve that award for this film. I just don’t think anyone else would have been able to pull off what they did.

I would also like to see Scarlett Johansson nominated for a Best Actress or Best Supporting Actress award because she seriously gave an incredible and emotional performance in the film as Black Widow.

What do you think? Does Avengers: Endgame have a shot of getting a Best Picture or Best Director Oscar nomination? Do you think it deserves to win either of those? What other Oscars do you think it should be nominated for?
