It Looks Like Deadpool is Going to Be Black Panther in Marvel Comics!

It looks like Deapool is going to be stepping into the role of Black Panther in Marvel Comics! This big reveal was teased thanks to the cover art that was released for Black Panther vs. Deadpool #4.

The cover art was created by Ryan Benjamin and Rain Beredo and it shows Wade Wilson wearing a cool looking new costume that is a mix of Deadpool and Black Panther. The cover art also came with the solicitation text that dubs this new look “Panther-Pool.”

The first issue of Black Panther vs. Deadpool hits stores this week and it centers on Deadpool going to Wakanda to try to get his hands on some vibranium but T’Challa isn’t going to make it easy for him. Here’s official plot summary:

"For a reason he’d rather not disclose (because, well, it makes him look bad!) Deadpool needs a piece of Vibranium…and the only way to get Vibranium is to go through the Black Panther himself! But Deadpool soon learns that his unconventional methods don’t exactly work against the king of the most technologically advanced country on the planet…"

We have no idea how Wade Wilson ends up as the new Black Panther sitting on the Wakandan throne, so we’ll just have to wait and see how this crazy story plays out.

Editor Wil Moss teased the the comic features “a brawl you can only get in comics (for now anyway), Black Panther vs. Deadpool is the best of both worlds, equal parts Black Panther/Wakanda and Deadpool/Crazytown. In bouncing these two characters off each other (and sometimes through each other), Daniel and Ricardo have found some really fascinating insights into what makes them tick as individuals.”

Let us know what you think about “Panther Pool” and here are the details on Black Panther vs. Deadpool #4:
