It Looks Like Skeletor Will Take to the Skies in a Roton in MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE

Toy Fair always delivers some cool surprises for fans, and this year Eternia showed up in a big way. Thanks to new reveals spotted by He-Mania, we’ve got fresh promo art tied to Masters of the Universe that gives us our latest look at Skeletor and one of his classic villain rides.

The big highlight comes from the “First Ones” Roton toy packaging, which features Jared Leto’s Skeletor soaring through the skies in the redesigned Roton.

Fans of the ’80s animated series will recognize the vehicle immediately. It was a favorite mode of transport for Eternia’s baddies, and seeing it updated for the big screen is a slick reminder that this movie isn’t forgetting its roots.

The packaging art sees Skeletor piloting the hovering machine, teasing the kind of chaotic air assaults we might see when the film finally hits theaters. If this is any indication, He-Man is going to have more than just ground battles to worry about.

Speaking of villains, another toy reveal offers a closer look at the Skel-Knight figure packaging, which highlights one of Skeletor’s loyal enforcers.

These so-called “Skele-Goons” weren’t part of the original cartoon lineup, but every cinematic villain army needs a few expendable soldiers. It looks like Skeletor is building out his ranks for something much bigger.

On the heroic side, the film stars Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man, with Camila Mendes playing Teela and Morena Baccarin stepping into the mystical role of The Sorceress.

James Purefoy and Charlotte Riley portray Adam’s royal parents, King Randor and Queen Marlena. Alison Brie joins the dark side as Evil-Lyn, Skeletor’s powerful second-in-command.

The supporting cast includes Sam C. Wilson, who is set to play Trap Jaw, Kojo Attah takes on Tri-Klops, and Jon Xue Zhang plays Ram-Man. Most recently, Kristin Wiig signed on as the voice of Roboto, adding another fan-favorite character to the roster.

Getting Masters of the Universe to the screen has been a long road. Netflix was developing a feature version back in 2022, but that attempt ultimately stalled. The project later found a new home at Amazon/MGM Studios, with Travis Knight, director of Bumblebee, in talks to helm.

The script was rewritten by Chris Butler from an initial draft by David Callaham, who previously penned Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Before that, the Nee Brothers had been attached to direct.

The story centers on “10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia.

“After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!”

It’s a sweeping setup that blends cosmic adventure with classic hero mythology, and these new toy reveals suggest the film is leaning into the larger-than-life spectacle fans expect.

Masters of the Universe is currently set to hit theaters on June 5, 2026.
