It Looks Like THE CROW Reboot Might Be Going Back in Development
The Crow reboot has gone through some hard times. Hollywood has been trying to get this film off the ground for years, but just when things look like they are going to work out, it all falls apart. This is a cursed franchise and the fans just want to see it left alone. But, it doesn’t look like that‘s going to happen.
Bloody-Disgusting has learned that The Crow reboot is going back into active development after two years of nothing happening with it. The closest the film got to being made is when Jason Momoa and director Corin Hardy were developing it. After they dropped out, the project went to sleep.
Samuel Hadida’s Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow previously acquired the rights to finance, produce and distribute the film, and they are all still involved in bringing the James O’Barr-created character back to the big screen.
The Crow follows Eric Draven, who returns from the dead to track down his killers and avenge his murdered fiancé with the help of a mystical bird.
As of right now no director, writer, or actor are attached to the film. While the reboot is going back into development, there’s no guarantee that it will reach production or get made. Personally, I couldn’t care less at this point. If the movie does surprisingly get made, it probably won’t be as good as the original film and will end up being a flop at the box office. It’s just one of those movies that no one is asking for.
