IT Star Jaeden Lieberher Reveals an Alternate Climactic End Scene That Was Cut

During a recent interview with Variety, IT star Jaeden Lieberher, who played Bill in the film revealed an alternate scene at the end of the movie that was ultimately cut from the film. I thought the way the movie ended was great, but this scene actually sounds pretty climactic.

When asked what the favorite scene was that was cut from the movie, Lieberher said:

"I did have this scene where I climb up the tower at the end. When I’m chasing after Georgie, I climb the tower and I’m at a one-on-one confrontation with Pennywise and then I say that I’m not afraid of him, that none of the losers are afraid of him, and that’s how we beat him. But they took those lines and put toward the end, right after our big fight. So I had this whole thing where Bill Skarsgard is grabbing me and pushing me off the ledge, and I had to wear this harness. That was a more difficult scene."

That giant tower of stuff that Pennywise the Clown collected from his victims over the course of his existence in Derry was pretty cool and a little eerie. I'm sure there are a ton of Easter eggs in there that we can find.

I wonder if we will see this scene included the director's cut of the film, which will include 15 extra minutes of extra footage.

The actor was then asked who he would like to see play the adult version of his character in Chapter 2 and I can totally get behind his answer!

"I think Ewan McGregor would be interesting. I don’t want to offend him or anything, but he might be too old. I love Ewan McGregor, and I think he’s a great actor. I think he could play Bill very well."

McGregor seems like a perfect choice to play Bill. It's not hard to imagine him in the role and I know he'd be great. What do you think?
