It Was Depressing for Alden Ehrenreich When He Got Cast in SOLO

Apparently, it can be depressing to be cast in big films these days. The main reason is due to the secrecy and marketing plans that a lot of films are adopting these days. Just ask Alden Ehrenreich who recently played Han Solo in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Most people would love to be cast in a Star Wars film and Ehrenreich was no different. However, he found it extremely lonely because he was not allowed to tell anyone. He told his family but wasn’t allowed to tell friends or anyone which led to this saddening account.

I called my family, I told them, but like, all my friends, I couldn’t tell anybody really and it wasn’t even going to be announced for three months. And so I didn’t know what to do, but I felt I should do something, so, I like went to the beach, by myself, and walked around. And there was the pier there so I went to the pier and I was like ‘I guess I’ll ride a ride.’ So I just rode a roller coaster by myself.

That is really sad to me. He’s gotten the role of a lifetime and he can’t go out celebrating with his friends. Maybe he was able to really party after the announcement was made though?
