It Would Be Cool To See Matt Reeves' BATMAN Trilogy Lead To BATMAN BEYOND

I have no idea what kind of story that Matt Reeves is going to tell with The Batman. But, we do know he has an idea for a trilogy and that the film would focus more on Batman as a detective. That’s pretty much it.

If Reeves does end up making a new Batman trilogy with Ben Affleck in the role, it would probably take between five and ten years to complete. That’s a long time but in the meantime, fans will be treated to other DCEU films that hopefully end up being great projects.

I was just thinking that a Batman trilogy with Affleck could easily lead to introducing Terry McGinnis at some point and move the franchise forward into a live-action Beyond Batman film. I think Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment should totally use this opportunity to do that!

With Ben Affleck portraying an older seasoned Batman, it only makes sense that they would eventually have to phase him out and bring in a hero to take his place. Why not make that person McGinnis!?

At some point late in the trilogy, Batman could have a heart attack forcing him to finally retire and that would set the stage to introduce McGinnis into the DCEU. They don’t necessarily have to bring McGinnis into the trilogy, but it could at least set the stage for Batman Beyond.

Of course, I wouldn’t object to seeing McGinnis showing up at some point if they wanted to make some changes in the timeline, which is certainly a possibility. Just because Batman Beyond is set in the year 2040, doesn't mean we should have to wait until 2040 to see it happen!

I don’t know, this is just something I would love to see because Batman Beyond needs to finally be adapted into a live-action feature film. The fans are waiting for it to happen, and now is the time to start thinking about setting the character up in the DCEU. Hell, there's also the question as to whether or not he should be connected to the DCEU.

If he is, The Batman trilogy should be used as a way to set it up. What do you all think? How would you like to see McGinnis make his big screen debut? Should he even be connected to the DCEU?
