It's Gonna Be a While Before We See INVINCIBLE Season 2 Released
The first season of Robert Kirkman’s dark superhero animated series Invincible was a big hit with fans. The show actually turned out a lot better than I thought it would. From what I understand, the behind-the-scenes production of the show was a nightmare.
I know a lot of fans have been excited about seeing the hyper-violent story continue in the second season, but we’re gonna have to wait a while before we see it. According to actor Steven Yeun, who plays Mark Grayson, they haven’t even started Season 2 yet.
During an interview with Collider, Yeun said, "We haven't started. I know we're starting at some point soon. I've talked to Robert [Kirkman], here and there. He's super excited about it. He thinks Season 2 is gonna be even better than Season 1, which I have no doubt about. If you go to his source material, Invincible is an incredible comic, and just thinking about how much story hasn't been told from that run, it's gonna be bonkers. I'm really excited about it."
It’s good that the creative team is excited about it. Hopefully the production on Season 2 will go a lot smoother this time around. Regardless, I’m looking forward to seeing how the next season turns out.
Invincible revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Yeun), who's just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). The series also stars Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Gillian Jacobs, Zachary Quinto, Jason Mantzoukas, Melise, Mark Hamill, Mahershala Ali, Seth Rogen, and more.
