It's Party Time in Hollywood 1920 in New Trailer for BABYLON Starring Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt
Paramount Pictures has released another wild trailer for the 1920-set Hollywood film Babylon, which comes from director Damien Chazelle (Whiplash, La La Land). The more I see of this movie, the more bonkers it looks! I have no idea what is happening, but it looks like everyone is living their lives to the absolute extreme and it’s wearing them down. While they all look like they're having the time of their lives, they all look absolutely exhausted. The movie explores the insanity of Hollywood during its golden-age of non-stop partying and debauchery.
Babylon is described as an epic tale “of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.” It’s said to be like The Great Gatsby, but on steroids.
The film stars Brad Pitt as Jack Conrad, Margot Robbie as Nellie LaRoy, Diego Calva as Manny Torres, Jean Smart as Elinor St. John, Jovan Adepo as Sidney Palmer, and Li Jun Li as Lady Fay Zhu. The movie also stars Lukas Haas as George Munn and Tobey Maguire as James McKay.
