Jack Huston Bails on THE CROW Reboot

Looks like it's back to the drawing board for casting on The Crow reboot. The director of the film, Corin Hardy, has revealed that Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire) has dropped out of the project due to scheduling issues. The director tells Variety:

“Jack Huston is unfortunately unavailable to continue with us on The Crow. The Crow is an amazing project, and I am grateful that we have the time and patience to get it right. We look forward to unveiling our new lead and starting to film over the next several weeks.”

I was actually looking forward to seeing Huston in the lead role. It's a shame that he won't be able to do it. A lot of people seemed to be on board with the casting, regardless of the fact they weren't happy that the film is being rebooted. I'm curious to see who they cast to fill his shoes. I'm really hoping that they are able to bring on a talented actor that fans will be ok with. Before Huston came on board, Luke Evan's was attached to the project.

It's also being reported that Forest Whitaker is in talks to play a role in the new feature film adaptation of the James O’Barr comic book. O'Barr is said to have a heavy role in the development of this film, and if it gets made it will stick  a lot closer to the comic material than Alex Proyas' 1994 movie did.

There's no release date set for the movie yet, but it sounds like production will move forward as planned with a new lead already being targeted. What actor would you like to see take on the title role?
