If you have a lot of money laying around and would like to spend it in a total geek worthy way, there is an auction for you. CNN Style brought us this information today. Here is what they had to say:
iThe impressive collection is expected to fetch a total of £6 million ($7.3 million) when it goes up for sale at London's BFI IMAX, and the catalog is sure to excite any film buff.
The sale is the sixth annual London auction put on by movie-themed auction house Prop Store, set to be held over two days on September 30 and October 1. A free exhibition showing off the props will be open to the public.
Look, they have amassed a collection that will blow your mind. They have items like the Micheal Keaton Batman suit and the “Here’s Johnny!” Axe from The Shining but that is just the tip of the memorabilia iceberg. They have an original Tantive IV Stormtrooper helmet from Star Wars: A New Hope and Samuel L. Jackson’s Lightsaber from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. You can get Mel Gibson’s sword from Braveheart, the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch from Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Pierce Brosnan’s silenced pistol from Goldeneye.
The prices range from $375 for a Golden Ticket Announcement Poster from Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory all the way up to around $200K for the more high dollar items. There are going to be over 900 items up for sale worth about $7.3 million.
This is one of those moments in life where I wish I was a multiple time Lotto winner. I would buy it all because of course I can take better care of all of that stuff than anyone else. Heck, I would love to be able to just be in the same room with these iconic pieces of movie history. Hop on over to CNN and check out the full list of items available. Let us know what you think.
