JACKASS PRESENTS: BAD GRANDPA Movie Review

If you're fans of Johnny Knoxville and his Jackass franchise, then you're going to absolutely love their new film Bad Grandpa. Just the trailers for this movie were hilarious, but they do save some of the best parts for the actual film. I was busting a gut laughing so hard while watching it I've enjoyed watching the Jackass crew try to kill themselves over the years, but the pranks they play on people in this movie are ridiculously funny.

When you go to a Jackass film you know exactly what you're getting yourself into. But as can already tell from the trailers, this one is a bit different as it actually has a narrative. It follows 86-year-old Irving Zisman as he goes on a road trip to take his 8-year-old grandson to his father because his mom is going to prison. Along the way they form a bond and friendship with each other. They make several stops along the way where they pull some insanely awesome pranks on people. These people have no idea what is going on, so you get some amazingly funny, real reactions to what this "old man" and his grandson are doing. Knoxville and the kid played by Jackson Nicoll were freakin' great. It couldn't be easy to do what that kid had to do and keep a straight face, that takes talent.

I don't want to give any of the other pranks away that weren't included in the trailer, but even some of the stuff in the trailer doesn't do the hilarity of the movie any justice. Most of them are just a little part of a much bigger scene. This movie had the whole audience in the theater busting up in laughter throughout almost the entire movie. Once it gets going it's hard to stop, and you just can't get enough of it. I wanted more!

If you're all looking for a good ab work out and a laugh, then this movie is going to give it to you. For those of you who aren't into the whole Jackass kind of humor then maybe you'll want to skip it. I know this kind of comedy isn't for everyone, but damn, they pulled off some really great stuff! This movie entertained the hell out of me.

I would love to see Jackass make more movies like this. I think they've found a really fun formula for making prank movies that audiences will enjoy watching.
