Jackbox Games Announces Unified Launcher for Steam

JACKBOX GAMES FINALLY DID IT!!!! They have announced The Jackbox Megapicker which aims to fix a problem that has long plagued the franchise.

Before the Megapicker, if you wanted to do a game night and play some Jackbox games, you had to figure out which game you wanted to play, figure out which Party Pack it was in (there are currently 10) and then go from there.

If your group decided to play a different game, you would hope it was in the same Party Pack because if not, you had to close the current Party Pack and find the correct one with the new game you wanted to play. This was a massive annoyance and something that I mentioned in a few of my reviews.

With the Megapicker, all of your titles will be available from a single space for you to sort and filter as you would like to make it much easier to change games during your game night.

This is absolutely incredible, but there is a caveat. The Megapicker will only be available through Steam. It will be free, but if you play Jackbox games on any other platform then you won’t have access to it. This is a bit of a bummer, but maybe in the future they’ll be able to expand it to other platforms?

I am personally elated to hear the news. The Jackbox Megapicker doesn’t have a specific release date, but is set to release sometime in July 2024. We should learn more in the coming weeks though.
