Jada Pinkett Smith Is in Talks to Reprise Her Role in THE MATRIX 4

The casting process for The Matrix 4 is in full swing. Yesterday it was announced that Neil Patrick Harris was joining the film in a mysterious role. Now today we’ve learned that Jada Pinkett Smith is currently in negotiations to reprise her role in the film. She played the character Niobe inThe Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions. It is not a done deal yet, but the studio is trying to make it happen.

Niobe is a character from Zion and is the captain of the Logos hovercraft. “She’s also one of the rebels in the war against the Machines and the Matrix. In the virtual world of the Matrix, Niobe is a gifted martial artist.”

She will join the previously cast Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, who will be reprising their roles of Neo and Trinity in the film. Then there’s Yahya Abdul-Mateen (Aquaman) who was recently cast in the movie and is rumored to be playing a younger version of Morpheus.

Lana Wachowski will direct and co-write the screenplay with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell. I hope that Smith jumps on board the film! It would be cool to see her character back in action.
