James Earl Jones's Mufasa Narrates the New Promo Spot for THE LION KING

James Earl Jones seriously has one of the most soothing voices ever… when he’s not playing Darth Vader. Disney has shared a new promo spot for director Jon Favreau’s The Lion King, and it features Earl Jones’s Mufasa giving his lesson on a king’s time as ruler.

This looks like such a beautifully made film, and I’m looking forward to seeing it. There’s also no doubt that movie is going to explode at the box office and make Disney a ridiculously massive amount of money.

Here’s the synopsis:

Disney’s “The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau (“The Jungle Book”), journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

The all-star voice cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Billy Eichner as Timon, John Oliver as Zazu, and Seth Rogen as Pumbaa.

The Lion King opens in U.S. theaters on July 19th, 2019.
