James Franco Goes Old School in the Trailer For HBO's 70s Set Drama THE DEUCE

We have a lot to look forward to watching on HBO lately. The premium cable network just released the first trailer for its upcoming drama series The Deuce, and it's oh, so '70s.

The new series stars James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal and focuses on the flourishing porn industry in the 1970s and ’80s. Based on the description, this show is sure to be full of sex, drug use and lots violence. Franco will be doing double duty on this show as he will play a set of twins.

The eight-episode series was created by novelist George Pelecanos and The Wire creator David Simon. The Deuce will air on HBO on September 10.

I love how the way this show appears to be shot makes it really feel like it takes place in the 70s and 80s. Authenticity is very important for shows like this to work and I would say, based on what we're seeing in this promo, they've nailed it.

What do you guys think, is this a show you'll watch?
