James Gunn Confirms That THE SUICIDE SQUAD Will Have His Signature Music Heavy Sound
One of the many great aspects of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies is the soundtracks. Director James Gunn has an ear for songs that fit perfectly into a scene and make a movie even more fun. So it makes sense that a fan on Twitter would ask if his next film, The Suicide Squad, will be as music-heavy as the Guardians movies have been. Gunn replied, and said:
“Music is an incredibly important part of ALL of my films, both soundtrack and score. So, yeah. But it will be a lot different than Guardians musically - and in so many other ways.”
This comes as no surprise, but it’s awesome to hear! Of course it will have a different feel than the upbeat nostalgia that is the music of Guardians. I’m sure this will be a bit harder. I can’t wait to hear what he brings to the soundtrack. I’m sure it will be a lot of fun!
The Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 6, 2021.
