James Gunn Confirms That THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Comes Before GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3
Fans are reeling from the insane amount of information we received last weekend via the San Diego Comic-Con Marvel panel introducing the lineup of movies and series for the next two years. We were shown so many new characters and given tidbits about the intertwined universe, but we still have so many questions that need answers.
At the end of the panel, after showing us the timeline on the screen, Marvel president Kevin Feige blurted out that he didn’t even have time to cover Black Panther 2, Mutants, Blade, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Captain Marvel and Fantastic 4. This really put things in a spin!
One major question fans had after hearing that we are getting Thor: Love and Thunder in 2021 is, where will the next Guardians of the Galaxy fit into the timeline? The end of Endgame saw Thor going off with the Guardians, so we don’t really know what his future looks like. But now we have a tiny bit of info that answers one of our questions.
In a recent Instagram post from James Gunn, in which he was celebrating Avengers: Endgame taking the mantle of highest-grossing film of all time, a fan by the name of dumb_rush commented on the post and asked, “Is Thor: Love and Thunder before or after Guardians of The Galaxy 3?”. Gunn replied and simply said, “Before.” This just brings up more questions, but it’s cool to know the answer to that!
