James Gunn Says GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY HOLIDAY SPECIAL Is the Greatest Thing He's Ever Done

Writer and director James Gunn is on a roll with the content he has created over the past decade for Marvel and DC, starting with the first two Guardians of the Galaxy films, last year’s The Suicide Squad and its subsequent Peacemaker series. Next up, Gunn will give us his Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, set to release this upcoming holiday season, and next year, we will get the final film in the Guardians trilogy.

In a recent interview with RadioTimes.com, Gunn gave an update on the film, saying:

"The Holiday Special is the greatest thing I've ever done in my life. It's totally ridiculous, and every day we can't believe that we're making it. We all completely love it. It is unlike anything that anyone's ever seen before. I can't wait for people to see it."

So no plot details, but he sure does sound enthusiastic! The greatest thing he’s ever done in his life is pretty high praise, so I am looking forward to seeing what he did with this special even more than before.

Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is set to premiere on Disney+ this 2022 holiday season.
