James Gunn Gives Update on Filming GOTG Vol. 3 - Says He's Shooting "Some Wonderful Cameos For True Guardians Fans"
Director James Gunn is working hard to get us the final chapter in his Guardians franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. While we haven’t gotten any details on the synopsis yet, Gunn has been reaching out, giving fans glimpses of what’s happening on set. The other day, he tweeted about the film breaking the world record for “the most makeup appliances created for a single production” (surpassing The Grinch).
Now, he has shared a new post on Twitter, saying, “Today we are shooting some wonderful cameos for true Guardians fans.” Cryptic? Of course. Exciting? Absolutely.
Whoever these cameos will be, they will be accompanied in the movie by returning stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax, Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, and Sean Gunn as Kraglin. They are being joined by newcomers Will Poulter as Adam Warlock, Sylvester Stallone as Stakar Ogord, and Chukwudi Iwuji in an undisclosed role.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to roll into theaters on May 5, 2023.
