James Gunn on How Many More GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Films He Will Direct and SUICIDE SQUAD Casting Update

James Gunn is a busy man, hard at work on The Suicide Squad, with an eye to the future Guardians of the Galaxy 3 film. His hands are in two major franchise films, across the two different comic universes, and fans are waiting with bated breath to hear any information we can get on either of the films.

This week, Gunn gave us a bit of info and a promise of more. One fan asked him on Instagram how many more Guardians of the Galaxy films we can plan on seeing from him. He answered simply:

“1 more.”

Next up, a fan asked when we would get to hear about the official casting for all the roles in The Suicide Squad. Gunn responded by saying:

“You’ll find out in the next couple days.”

Wait, what?! Heck yeah! That’s super exciting, and we will report back as soon as we hear. The Suicide Squad is slated to hit theaters on August 6, 2021, and we don’t have an official date yet for Guardians 3, but we are hoping to see it in 2022. Which movie are you most excited for?
