James Gunn Reveals a PEACEMAKER Character Will Appear in a Big Upcoming DC Movie
Writer and director James Gunn confirms that HBO Max’s Peacemaker series is part of the DCU and reveals that a character for the show is set to appear in a big upcoming DC movie. During a recent interview on THR’s TV’s Top 5 podcast, he said:
"It is part of the DCU, I mean they can use these characters... I mean one of these characters, which people have kind of figured out, one of these characters is used in a future big DC movie that's from here.
"So we are connected to all of this... who knows what role these characters are going to play in the future? I mean no one knew who the Guardians of the Galaxy were, and then all of a sudden they're massive players in [Avengers:] Infinity War and [Avengers:] Endgame. So who knows what's going to happen with Peacemaker in ten years, five years, or whatever."
It’ll be interesting to see who this character is that Gunn is talking about. John Cena stars in the series, and I doubt that this show is the last that we’ll see of him. But he is joined by Steve Agee as John Economos, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, and Danielle Brooks as Adebayo.
Any of these characters could show up in any upcoming films including Black Adam, The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Batgirl, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, or any other project that’s in development.
Who are your favorite characters in the Peacemaker series that you would like to see in future DC projects?
