James Gunn Reveals That a Scene Was Cut From GUARDIANS VOL. 2 That Was Filled With Easter Eggs

As you know, James Gunn filled the first Guardians of the Galaxy film full of Easter eggs, one of which still has yet to be discovered. A lot of those Easter eggs were in the scene involving The Collector's museum.

Well, there was another scene that was supposed to by in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 that would have been loaded with all kinds of Marvel Easter eggs, but unfortunately, it had to be cut from the film! During an interview with Collider, the director revealed:

“Unfortunately we had a sort of terrible cutting — one of our scenes we cut was with Grandpa Quill on earth, and we had a lot of Easter Eggs in that scene. As much as we had in the collector’s museum, probably more.”

Damn! It's a bloody shame that didn't make the final cut of the film! I wonder why it was cut. Gunn doesn't give a reason, but he did say that he plans to share a picture of the deleted scene on social media at some point. Fans can only hope the scene will be included in the special features of the Blu-ray.

Regardless of this scene being cut, there are plenty of other Easter eggs to look for when you watch the film!
