James Gunn Reveals The Part He Had In Mind For David Bowie In GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2
A recent Facebook Q&A between fans and director James Gunn has revealed some interesting info regarding Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2. It's been known for awhile now that Gunn originally planned for David Bowie to appear in the film, and now, we're learning (via Cinemablend) what role Gunn intended Bowie to play:
I wanted David Bowie to play a member of Yondu's original crew.
Not a huge role, but it definitely would've been very cool to see the late musician appear in the MCU. None of Bowie's music has appeared in the awesome mixtapes, so there's still a chance yet that he could be involved in the universe in some way. I personally would love to hear one of his songs in the series, although I'm not entirely sure which one...any suggestions?
