James Gunn Reveals Two Marvel Movies He Really Wanted to Make; One of Them was Hit-Monkey

Director James Gunn has done a hell of a great job with the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Before he decided to take on those misfit heroic characters, there were two other great characters in the Marvel Universe that Gunn wanted to play with on the big screen. During another one of his Facebook Q&A sessions, one fan asked him if there was a superhero movie he really wanted to make before he started working on the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. This was his reply:

"I wanted to do Hit Monkey. Like REALLY wanted to do it. I was also interested in doing a Hulk/Red Hulk film."

I would have loved to see Gunn bring both of these characters to the big screen! I'd love to see what he would do with them! I can't help but think both of these would turn out to be completely wild movies with Gunn at the helm, especially Hit-Monkey.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Hit-Monkey because he's more of an obscure Marvel character, he's an actual monkey who is one of the world's greatest assassins. He's an expert marksman and martial artist with incredible agility and reflexes. Sounds like a character that is right up Gunn's ally. It would be wicked awesome to see a Rocket Raccoon and Hit-Monkey team-up! 

Then there's Red Hulk, which would be awesome to see. I was hoping that we would see General Ross go all Red Hulk in the MCU, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I guess there's always still a chance that Red Hulk will make his debut, but I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon.

I don't know if we'll ever see either of these characters get their own solo movie, but I really would love to see Gunn make a Hit-Monkey movie because it would be awesome! Marvel needs to let him make that movie.
