James Gunn Wants to Bring Marvel Villain Wilson Fisk to the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Franchise
Director James Gunn is doing great things with the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and fans can't wait to see Vol. 2. We aren't really sure what's going to happen with these characters and the franchise after Avengers: Infinity War, but one thing that the director would like to do is bring in an unlikely Marvel villain to play in that outer space universe. That villain is Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk a.k.a. Kingpin, who made his MCU debut in Netflix's Daredevil series!
Gunn talked about wanting to bring Kingpin into the Guardians franchise during an interview with Fandango, saying:
"The one guy I would love to bring into outer space is the Kingpin from the Daredevil TV show, so I don't know if I'd want to bring an Avenger into outer space. But I wouldn't mind bringing Wilson Fisk up there to see what he would do in outer space."
That would be amazing! I'd love to see how Gunn would utilize Kingpin in a Guardians of the Galaxy movie! He's one of the most interesting villains in the MCU and I hope that Marvel intends on using him more. I seriously doubt we'll ever see him in a Guardians of the Galaxy film because the Marvel Netflix series' are being kept separate from the movies, but it's an idea I can totally get behind!
Regardless of the impossibility of this, I can't help but imagine how amazing it would be to see the Guardians go up against Wilson Fisk in space. If anyone could effectively make that work, it's Gunn. Would you like to see Fisk in a Guardians movie?
