James McAvoy Says He Wants To Play The DC Villain THE RIDDLER
One of my favorite Batman villains has always been The Riddler. He’s such a dark and sadistic character and we have yet to see a proper version of the character adapted for the big screen.
I am hoping that Matt Reeves includes him in The Batman. I’ve always envisioned the character as a serial killer that Batman has to hunt down as he is being taunted with the riddles he leaves behind. Kind of like a mix between Seven and Zodiac.
If Reeves does end up using The Riddler in his movie, there’s one actor that would love to play him. That actor is James McAvoy, and while he might not be at the top of the fan casting list, he would make an interesting choice and I bet he could awesomely pull it off!
During a recent Q&A on Instagram, the actor was asked on Instagram who he would like to play if he joined the DC Universe, and this is what he said:
“The Riddler? I always liked him when I was growing up. That would be cool. I’ve always thought DC does really good bad guys.”

I wouldn’t mind seeing what McAvoy would do with the character. He’s a great actor that has given us some pretty impressive performances over the years.
