James Wan is Set To Produce a New Adaptation of Stephen King's SALEM'S LOT

Stephen King’s classic vampire novel Salem’s Lot is once again being adapted and this time it’s headed to the big screen with producers James Wan and Gary Dauberman. The book was previously adapted into a TV miniseries back in 1979 and in 2004 with Rob Lowe, but I’m really excited about the fact that this story is going to get a proper film adaptation, especially under the guidance of James Wan.

The story follows "a writer who returns to his hometown, Salem’s Lot, in order to write about an abandoned mansion in the small town. As he discovers the home has been bought by a mysterious man from Europe, the man also realizes that townspeople are slowly being turned into vampires. The writer bands together with a ragtag group to stop the spread of vampires, with the final confrontation happening in the house with the mysterious man.”

This is such a great story and with the creative team of Wan and Dauberman leading the charge on it, the movie is sure to turn out great! Dauberman will also write the script for the film, but there’s still no director attached. I would love it if Wan stepped up to take it on, but as of right now he’s only a producer.

What do you think about King’s Salem’s Lot getting a feature film adaptation?
