James Wan Teams Up With JOHN WICK Writer Derek Kolstad For Time Travel Film HUNTING SEASON

James Wan is set to produce a film adaptation of Frank M. Robinson’s time travel story, Hunting Season. He’s teaming up with Transformers producer Don Murphy and John Wick franchise writer Derek Kolstad who is writing the script.

The story follows a law officer who is sent back to the past where, deemed an enemy of the state and is facing execution, he must acclimate in order to survive. Here’s the official description of the story that offers a little more insight:

In this militaristic society of tomorrow, subversives are sent back to past ages where aristocrats hunt them for sport. Usually, the hunted are members of the lower classes. But when an aristocrat is condemned to be hunted in mid-twentieth century America, the entire fabric of society comes unraveled.

This is going to make for a great film, especially with James Wan being the guy who is putting it together. I can’t wait to see what he and his team do with it.
