Jamie Lee Curtis Reportedly Playing Madame Leota in Disney's HAUNTED MANSION Movie

Disney is developing a new Haunted Mansion with director Justin Simien (Dear White People, Bad Hair), and a new report says that Jamie Lee Curtis has joined the cast. According to One Take News, Curtis will be taking on the role of Madame Leota, the disembodied head of a psychic that lives inside of a crystal ball.

Curtis seemed to confirm the news herself when sharing the news on her Instagram page. You can check that out below. This is great casting for the character, and it will be interesting to see how that plays with this character in the story.

The ensemble cast for the film includes LaKeith Stanfield (Knives Out), Tiffany Haddish (Bad Trip), Owen Wilson (Loki), Danny DeVito (Jumanji: The Next Level), Rosario Dawson (Zombieland: Double Tap), and Chase Dillon (The Underground Railroad).

In this mysterious adventure,” a doctor (Dawson) and her 9-year-old son (Dillon), looking to start a new life, move into a strangely affordable mansion in New Orleans, only to discover that the place is much more than they bargained for. Desperate for help, they contact a priest (Wilson), who, in turn, enlists the aid of a widowed scientist-turned failed-paranormal expert (Stanfield), a French Quarter psychic (Haddish) and a crotchety historian (DeVito).”

Haunted Mansion will be released in theaters on March 10, 2023.
