Jamie Lee Curtis Says She'd Not Only Return for a FREAKY FRIDAY Sequel, She's Already Pitched It to Disney
Jamie Lee Curtis is known for so many great movies, her most popular probably being the Halloween franchise, which has seen sequels over the last four decades. But Curtis is looking to revisit another one of her movie roles, hoping for a second Freaky Friday with Disney. Curtis made the first movie in 2003, opposite Lindsay Lohan. This was a remake of another Disney classic from the ‘70s, and its updated story struck a chord with young fans.
Lohan took a long break from acting, but now that she’s returning to making movies with her upcoming Netflix deal, Curtis weighed in on whether she’d like to pair up with the actress again when she was asked this week on The View (via /Film).
She said:
"I have already written to Disney ... I'm 64 years old in a month, soon. My point is, creatively, I'm wide open. So Lindsay Lohan and me back in 'Freaky Friday?' She was just in a Christmas movie, she got married. It's all good. Bring it! Let me be the gramma! Let me be the old gramma who switches places. Then Lindsay can be the hot gramma who's still happy with Mark Harmon in all the ways you would be happy with Mark Harmon."
Curtis immediately apologized to Pam Dawber, Harmon's wife, for her joke at Harmon’s expense, and went on to add:
"And simply, I would like to see Lindsay be the hot gramma, and I would like to see me try to deal with toddlers today. I wanna be a helicopter parent in today's world, as an old lady."
I would honestly love to see this. I love both of these actresses, and I think it would be a fun new take on the story. Would you watch a Freaky Friday 2 with Lohan and Curtis?
