Jamie Lee Curtis to Produce and Star in Psychological Horror Film SENDER Along With Britt Lower and David Dastmalchian
Jamie Lee Curtis (The Last Showgirl, Everything Everywhere All At Once) is set to produce and star in Sender, a new psychological horror film alongside co-stars Britt Lower (Severance), David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil, The Suicide Squad), and Anna Baryshnikov (Love Lies Bleeding).
The project marks the directorial debut of Russell Goldman, and it is based on Return to Sender, his award-winning 2022 short that he later adapted into a 2023 Black List script.
It’s currently in production and follows a woman (Lower) who experiences an e-commerce package delivery scam that becomes so personal and disturbing that she becomes hellbent on discovering the identity of her anonymous sender.
In a statement to Deadline, Curtis said, “I am so proud to be a part of Russell’s first movie, the first of many. The little seed that Comet Pictures planted has now grown into a feature filled with talented artists surrounding a new and exciting filmmaker.”
