Jane Levy and Sissy Spacek Cast in J.J. Abrams and Stephen King's Hulu Series CASTLE ROCK

J.J. Abrams and Stephen King's upcoming Hulu series Castle Rock is one of my most anticipated anthology series. As a huge fan of King and his stories, seeing a series that connects those stories and universe together is exciting! THR is now reporting that Sissy Spacek (Bloodline) and Jane Levy (Evil Dead, Don't Breath) have been cast in the series. They will join the previously cast Andre Holland (Moonlight).

Castle Rock is a 10-episode series described as "an anthology that weaves together characters and themes from King's novels, featuring the mysterious town of Castle Rock. The psychological horror series combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King's works, weaving a saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland."

Spacek will take on the role of Ruth Deaver, "the estranged adoptive mother of Henry (Holland) and a retired professor whose fading memories may hold a key to Castle Rock's unsettling past." This wouldn't be Spacek's first role in a Stephen King film, in 1976 she starred in the haunting feature film adaptation of Carrie.

As for Levy, she will play a character named Jackie, "the death-obsessed and self-appointed historian of Castle Rock." She has some great experience in the world of horror, so she'll be perfect for this series!

The project comes from writers and executive producers Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason (Manhattan). I can't wait to see how it turns out!
