Netflix's JAPAN SINKS: 2020 Looks Like a Great Anime That May Be a Little Too Topical
Masaaki Yuasa has adapted Sakyo Komatsu’s book Japan Sinks: 2020 into an anime series and it looks great! The disaster book originally launched in 1973, but this anime take looks very modern.
Considering the year that 2020 has been so far, I gotta say, this may hit a little too close and I’m sure many wouldn’t be surprised if something like these events actually happened.
An ordinary family is put to the test as a series of massive earthquakes throw Japan into total mayhem. From director Masaaki Yuasa (Devilman Crybaby), the first anime adaptation of the bestselling science fiction novel by Sakyo Komatsu.
Japan Sinks: 2020 will be available to watch on Netflix starting July 9.
