Japan Will Soon Open Two COWBOY BEBOP Themed Cafes

It's been 20 years since the Cowboy Bebop anime first hit television screens, and folks still can't get enough of it. Nor should they, as the series remains the classic that it was back then, and will once again be celebrated by two pop up cafes in Japan later this year.

Kotaku reported the cafes will go up in Tokyo and Osaka May 15, and will run for a limited time with food and a theme similar to the show until June 10. That seems a bit short in my opinion, and if there were a permanent Cowboy Bebop cafe located somewhere in the world, I would make it my mission to visit it. I'm not sure if the series had the same impact it did in Japan, but this is like THE anime that got so many into anime in the West. Of course, Dragon Ball Z was the gateway, but it was Cowboy Bebop that showed me that anime could be something more than a silly cartoon, and convey emotion with a real story.

I'm getting too sentimental, if you happen to be in Japan while these shops are open, be sure to check it out and let us know how it is!
