Jared Leto Calles Tom Holland "Amazing" and Petitions for a Spider-Man/Morbius Crossover

Academy Award-winning actor Jared Leto’s long-awaited comic book movie Morbius is finally headed our way in just a couple of weeks, and the actor is already looking ahead to what may happen with the character in the future. At this past weekend’s Critics Choice Awards, Entertainment Tonight caught up with Leto on the red carpet, and they asked if he was excited about his upcoming film that will tell the story of biochemist-turned-vampire Michael Morbius. He said:

"I think it's a different take on the Marvel Universe, and it's a brand-new character, so I'm super excited to share that with audiences.”

In the comics, Morbius serves as a villain and antagonist for Spider-Man, so when asked if fans could expect a Spider-Man crossover with Morbius in the future, Leto responded, saying:

"I would love to get in the ring with Spider-Man. I think Tom Holland is amazing, and we'd make quite a dynamic duo."

But when asked if that meant he and Holland, 25, had already filmed something together, Leto insisted, "I'm manifesting.”

Morbius also stars Michael Keaton, returning to the role of Adrian Toomes/Vulture, which was introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Matt Smith, Jared Harris, Tyrese Gibson, and Adria Arjona. In the film, Leto’s Michael Morbius is "a scientist who suffered from a rare blood disease and attempted to cure himself to disastrous results. Instead of being cured, he became afflicted with a condition that was a form of vampirism — the thirst for blood, along with fangs and super strength.”

Morbius hits theaters on April 1st. Are you hoping to see him mix it up with Spider-Man in the future?
