Jared Leto Reportedly Not Thrilled With MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Although Studio Is Keeping Him on the Backburner
We are less than two weeks away from the theatrical release of Masters of the Universe, the long-awaited live-action take on the classic franchise starring Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, who’s been living on Earth after being sent away from Eternia as a child.
Years later, Adam is still searching for the Power Sword and a way back home. Once he finally returns, he discovers Skeletor has conquered Eternia, leaving Adam with one last shot to embrace his destiny as He-Man.
The movie looks like a ton of fun, but one star seems to be struggling with the final product. According to a new report from Puck News, Jared Leto, who plays the villainous Skeletor in the flick, “wasn’t thrilled with the film,” which could explain his lack of promotion of the movie, but could that also be because of the controversy surrounding the actor?
Leto has been accused of inappropriate behavior by many women and co-stars in the recent past, and he has also been linked to several flops in the box office, including Tron: Ares and Morbius.
So maybe his removal from promoting the film has more to do with the studio scooting him out of the limelight attached to the project, and less to do with his stamp of disapproval.
Either way, early reviews are in, and the movie has been hailed as “nonstop fun,” an “epic good time,” and even “one of the biggest surprises of 2026.” So go check it out for yourself! Masters of the Universe hits theaters on June 5th.
