Jared Leto's JOKER Movies Scrapped and Harley Quinn Will Not Appear in James Gunn's THE SUICIDE SQUAD
We’ve got an update to share with you in regard to some of the DC film projects that involve Jared Leto’s Joker and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.
According to Forbes, Jared Leto’s standalone Joker film and The Joker Vs. Harley Quinn have both been scrapped by Warner Bros., and the future of Robbie’s Harley Quinn all hinges on the success of Birds of Prey. If it’s a hit, then I’m sure we’ll see her again, if it bombs, then you all know what will happen. Also, don’t expect to see Harley show up in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.
There were a few reports out there saying that we could see a few familiar faces from the first Suicide Squad movie return, but that is not the case. The movie will be a complete overhaul of the franchise and will in no way tie into the first film.
The report also addresses the rumor about Gotham City Sirens and Birds of Prey crossing over for a Gotham City Sirens v Birds of Prey movie saying those rumors are false.
Warner Bros. seems to be taking these DC movies one film at a time, and they don’t want to fill their slate full of sequels or spinoffs until the characters prove themselves at the box office.
