Jason Clarke Joins The Cast of Christopher Nolan's OPPENHEIMER
Just when you didn’t think that Christopher Nolan could add any more members to his already huge and impressive ensemble cast of A-list stars, he casts Jason Clarke. It’s insane to see the cast for this Oppenheimer film continue to get bigger.
Clarke joins Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Jack Quaid, Benny Safdie, Dane DeHaan, Josh Hartnett, Kenneth Branagh, Alden Ehrenreich, and David Krumholtz.
The movie centers on J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who ran the Manhattan Project that led to the invention of the atomic bomb during World War II. The film has been described as an “epic thriller that thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it.”
Murphy is playing Oppenheimer, and Blunt will play his wife, but there’s no information on who anyone else will be playing in the thriller.
The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin.
The film is set to be released in theaters on July 21, 2023.
