Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming action thriller Sweet Girl, and in it, Jason Momoa faces off against Big Pharma. He finds himself fighting for his family and justice as he holds a big pharmaceutical company responsible for his wife’s death. His mission is to expose them for the greedy monsters that they are, but they don’t make it easy for him as the company sends assassins after him to kill him. As you can imagine, Momoa’s character is pissed off, and he is ready to fight back.

It looks like a good and entertaining action movie! Here’s a synopsis:

A devastated husband (Jason Momoa) vows to bring justice to the people responsible for his wife’s death while protecting the only family he has left, his daughter. Devoted family man Ray Cooper, vows justice against the pharmaceutical company responsible for pulling a potentially life-saving drug from the market just before his wife (Adria Arjona) dies from cancer. But when his search for the truth leads to a deadly encounter that puts Ray and his daughter Rachel (Isabela Merced) in harm’s way, Ray’s mission turns into a quest for vengeance in order to protect the only family he has left.

The film comes from director Brian Andrew Mendoza, with a script by Gregg Hurwitz and Philip Eisner. The movie also stars Isabela MercedManuel Garcia-RulfoAdria ArjonaRaza JaffreyJustin BarthaLex Scott DavisMichael Raymond-James, and Amy Brenneman.
