Jason Momoa's THE CROW Reboot Gets a 2019 Release Date

The Crow is the movie reboot that just won't go away. This film project has had a long hard road to the big screen and after all of the issues and problems that it has faced, it still managed to survive and now it actually has been given a release date of October 11th, 2019.

We've heard over and over again that this reboot will be more of a faithful adaptation of the comic book, which is what creator James O'Barr wants. It will not be a remake of Alex Proyas' 1994 film, but that didn't stop Proyas from speaking out against the film giving a heartfelt message of why this movie shouldn't be made. Regardless of what he or any of the fans think, Sony Pictures is going to push this thing through.

The movie will be directed by Corin Hardy, who directed The Conjuring spinoff film The Nun, which will be released later this year. He also directed the horror film The Hollow. I think he's a decent director, and it would be cool if he actually gave us a great movie. For me, it's just hard to see Momoa in the lead role. For someone who is looking for a faithful adaptation of the comic, Momoa seems like the wrong casting choice.

What do you think about this whole thing?
