Jason Segel Joins Angelina Jolie and Aimee Lou Wood in Feature Adaptation of ANXIOUS PEOPLE

Production has begun in London on the film Anxious People, with Emmy nominee Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Shrinking), who recently joined the cast, alongside Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie (Girl Interrupted, Eternals) and BAFTA-winner Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education, The White Lotus). The film is a feature adaptation of Fredrik Backman’s novel.

Director Marc Forster (A Man Called OttoWorld War Z) is helming the project from a script by Oscar-nominated screenwriter David Magee (Finding Neverland, Mary Poppins Returns).

In Anxious People, “on the day before Christmas Eve, investment banker Zara begrudgingly finds herself mingling with a group of strangers at an open house. When a reluctant bank robber, Grace, inadvertently takes the group hostage, chaos and oversharing ensues, secrets are revealed, and literally nothing goes according to plan.”

The production will be the first to use the newly launched Pinewood Indie Film Hub, a dedicated production facility for independent filmmakers at Pinewood Studios.

Segel can be seen in the upcoming third season of his hit comedy series, Shrinking, due out next year, and he will also star in Jorma Taccone’s feature, Over Your Dead Body alongside Samara Weaving, Timothy Olyphant, and Juliette Lewis.
