Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie Will Team Up Again For a Remake of The French Thriller LE CONVOYEUR

Director Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham are finally coming back together to work on a new film project! The movie will be a remake of the French thriller Le Convoyeur. The two previously worked together early on in their careers with 1998’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and 2000’s Snatch.

Statham will take on the role of “a cold and mysterious character who works for an armored truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.”

The project is being produced by Miramax, and it sounds like the perfect project for them to reunite on. Ritchie had this to say in a statement:

“I’m looking forward to bringing this story to life and working with Jason while he still has the use of his knees.”

Producer Bill Block added:

“Working again with Guy Ritchie on our second collaboration together, alongside renowned actor Jason Statham, is a privilege, and we anticipate that the tone and flavor of these two longtime friends will resurrect nothing less than a true, genre classic.”

I love the two previously made movies that these two talents worked on together and I’m sure they will deliver another great movie that their fans are going to enjoy.
