Jason Sudeikis Stars in Hilarious and Fun Trailer for the AppleTV+ Series TED LASSO
We’ve got a hilarious trailer for you guys to check out for the upcoming series Ted Lasso. The show is based on the character Ted Lasso that was created by Jason Sudeikis back when he was on SNL. It originated on an NBC Sports video in 2013 to help promote the fact that NBC Sports would begin broadcasting English Premier League games. It ended up being so successful that NBC brought the character back the following year to serve as an analyst.
Here’s the synopsis:
Jason Sudeikis plays Ted Lasso, a small-time college football coach from Kansas hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer. In addition to starring, Sudeikis serves as executive producer, alongside Bill Lawrence (“Scrubs”) via his Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of NBCUniversal Content. Doozer’s Jeff Ingold also serves as an executive producer with Liza Katzer as co-executive producer. The series was developed by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt, and is based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports.
The series was created by Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Bill Lawrence, and Sudeikis, and also stars Hannah Waddingham (How to Lose Friends & Alienate People), Bronson Webb (Game of Thrones), Phil Dunster (Murder on the Orient Express), and Stephen Manas.
I’ve been looking forward to this series since it was announced last year, and the trailer does not disappoint! This looks so well done, and like it’s going to be a really funny and sweet series. Sudeikis is super charming as this character, and I can’t wait to watch!
